Hello, my name is Francisco Fernández from León, Guanajuato, México. This Lesson is for week 5 (Lesson 4) of 'Introduction to Music Production' at Coursera.com. My Topic is "Demonstrate an effective use of a gate in a musical context (hopefully a piece of your own music).".

Let's start:
I have a complete mix session (drums, guitar, bass, piano, lead and background vocals). But when the lead vocals was recorded noise is also recorded from ear monitors, between every phrase can be distinguished. I need to use a gate to eliminate the noise.

Well Now I'm Open the Ozone 5 and Choose/Power the 'Diynamics' Section.
After I click on 'Link band controls' for the changes to be made in multiple bands.
And set the gate ratio all the way up.
I set my threshold according the vocal performance, I watch the 'Meter Bridge' to help me to adjust the threshold and of course my ear.
